GOP senator enters Florida governor's race

Casting itself as a `` face fraîche''pas connected to what she calls a Republican establishment troubled state Sen. Paula Dockery of Lakeland jumped into the race for governor Tuesday.
`` If I can restore people's faith in government, I'm up for this challenge, and I am ready to take it,''she said.
Dockery, 48, has little name recognition statewide, has never run for office statewide, and entered in a race against Attorney General Bill McCollum, Who's Making race wide State fourth in the last decade.
She said she began receiving calls to run for governor of the average citizens after the legislative session last spring. For a second time, she led the opposition to a plan by the administration of Governor Charlie Crist and Orlando-area business interests to spend up to $ 641 million to buy 61 miles of lines of railroad CSX for Commuter rail in Central Florida.
McCollum, 65, has collected $ 1.9 million and has built a vast organization statewide volunteer. Former Governor Jeb Bush repeated his support quickly at times McCollum Dockery said after his nomination.
