Manatees (Aquatic Mammals)....any facts on them?

I am doing an assignment for my lesson Anatomy & Physiology. I chose to study manatees as my aquatic mammal ... Has anyone interesting facts about them?

Hi,

Manatees dugongs, otherwise known as' are very placid creatures who live mainly in relatively shallow areas near mangroves.

I used to live in Belize and lives every day. They were often surface very close to my boat and looked at me with curiosity. They offer no threat or aggression.

They are in danger, especially in areas where there are lots of tourists, high-speed vessels. They used to lie in water a few inches below the surface and are often injured when high-speed vessels, which can not see Smash injuries in their backs and cause serious damage to them.

In particular much damage is done by the propellors which lacerate the flesh of these slow moving and rather wonderful animals. While in Belize my wife and I found one badly injured and half-beached near our home. It back was severely lacerated and infection was killing the poor thing. We cleaned and dressed the wounds and guided it into the (slightly) deeper water, where it managed to swin slowly away, Next day it came back, and we did it again, and again, and again...even after it was fully healed (though badly scarred) it came to our small jetty and 'allowed' us to stand next to it in the water. He showed no fear nor aggression.

We grew very fond of "Albert" (as we called him), he visited every day for about six months, then seems not a day we do not know what happened to him, but we missed her visits.

Wonderful, soothing, creatures who want nothing more than to be allowed to swim and eat and wander around doing nothing much.

Good luck in your studies. I do not think that my comments will help too, because I do not really know anything "scientific" about them, but hey I do not know the animals are really wonderful and my life is richer for having met Albert.

No, but they are fresh and good!

Human Anatomy & Physiology Home Study Course Review | A1 Info Mall

The Anatomy & Physiology Hominid is undoubtedly thorough look at the rest-house program created by Dr. James Ross. The program is designed for students who took the report executioner complex contained in a handbook of anatomy and physiology, or officer who needs to go Scholarship to undergo. The program covers more than 3,000 pages of medical topics profit including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and other subjects. According to details of the program, anyone can probably learn the serious part of the past, we should probably wait longer care. The program is nearby, as the program of natural materials and are practical to download sudden. However, I have to master the subject on this speed is that it makes a point of fact odious job of explaining many medical topics. The documents are presented in simple terms so you do not end for a medical experiment in rule to allow the lessons. You can learn anywhere, because you can certainly take the cd's with you. I also treasure the lessons that the act of aggression to diagrams for the assistants, you learn the elements, and quizzes to test your conscience. The mere prospect of the program is undeniable that, since this is a seminar covering the same, it may take some time to go through the program inviolable. However, the anatomy and physiology philanthropist is certainly always meaning the Bucks because he is faster than in college classes, it is convenient and indulgent read. You may now realize that the types of foods you eat are just pure and not the amounts. Users better from a generator software system that is in the box. It creates the menus and even shopping lists that avoid if you're not too rooted in the kitchenette....
