Chiropractic "medicine" deals with nothing but a strong placebo effect. Do not trust for anything but back pain. Affirms that it can cure things such as allergies and cancer are complete BS.

I would not consider chiropractic to be "alternative". For me, the first line of treatment, and general practitioner or dentist, etc.
Chiro's ill-treating bone alignments. They use different techniques to adjust your spine and / or members. You feel like a million dollars afterwards.

Marketing to the medical profession should be part of a chiropractic office well rounded.
Often it is fear of rejection that holds back chiropractors connection with physicians. And fear of the unknown and the misinformation often prevents doctors from connecting with chiropractors.
You should know that most medical doctors and chiropractors have the same goal in mind patients heal as quickly and as economically as possible. Once physicians understand what chiropractic can offer, they tend to have fewer problems with referral when they see the need.
Getting the right angle
So how can you get references from doctors? It takes some effort, and as with any marketing tool you use, you must approach it from several angles.
Provide medical reports. The first step is to provide a medical report, which should be simple, to-the-point report that you complete all new patients. It should include a brief history, examination, results of radiology, and diagnosis and a prognosis and timetable.
