Student Health and Counseling Center at Cal State Fullerton offers many medical services for students with little or no cost.
The SHCC is a fully functional medical facility with a pharmacy, blood and laboratory tests and radiology and optometry services.
Visit Doctor, X-rays, EKGs, pregnancy testing and chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis tests are all free.
Most services are included in the fee of $ 45 health center where each student pays fees in their half.
However, there are certain services that cost a little more. These include full physical examinations, immunizations and several blood tests.
Some services are offered in the SHCC that are not as well known, such as chiropractic and acupuncture.
These are two of the most popular forms of alternative medicine, and both were provided by the University of Southern California Health Sciences since October 2007.
Harbor Eastern Medical Group, a local firm of acupuncture on Harbor Boulevard near Brea Boulevard, charges $ 129 for an initial consultation with treatment. Acupuncturist contracted school will cost a patient only $ 5 per visit.
