At home physical therapy exercises for stroke victim with paralysis?

My stepfather had a stroke in March with total paralysis has resulted on his right side. Now, keep in mide, it is only 57 and they had originally planned a full recovery now they arent so sure. He spent 2 months in a rehabilitation center and learned how to transfer and others. Once we arrived at her home by a therapist is supposed to come twice a week for help. With insurance reasons therapists are no longer escape. We do what we can do but we're in a hole now. What are the options we can do at home and how long should we do for them. Moving a job because of pain and he gets tired very easily. Any held would be appreciated!

AJAX - An Ajax woman who suffered a stroke in Cuba and was left waiting for a hospital bed in Ontario finally returned this weekend. Coop John Corson was in Cuba for the wedding of his daughter when she suffered a stroke October 18. His daughter, Susan Corson said she was taken to a Cuban hospital for treatment. On Oct. 20, instead of being transferred home to Canada, she was airlifted to a hospital in Miami, Florida because there were no beds available for her in Ontario. "It is mostly paralyzed on the right side of his body, his arm and leg, she got a little movement in the fingers," said Mrs. Corson.Doctors in Miami said his 64-year-old mother would need about a month in hospital over several months of physical therapy and allowed to return to Ontario October 25, but she stayed for a week awaiting a bed. "I was basically on the phone since Sunday, begging and pleading with everyone to try to get his house," said Mrs. Corson before flying to Miami on Friday. "There nowhere to bring him and now she is stuck in Miami, penniless and alone.
