At home physical therapy exercises for stroke victim with paralysis?

My stepfather had a stroke in March with total paralysis has resulted on his right side. Now, keep in mide, it is only 57 and they had originally planned a full recovery now they arent so sure. He spent 2 months in a rehabilitation center and learned how to transfer and others. Once we arrived at her home by a therapist is supposed to come twice a week for help. With insurance reasons therapists are no longer escape. We do what we can do but we're in a hole now. What are the options we can do at home and how long should we do for them. Moving a job because of pain and he gets tired very easily. Any held would be appreciated!

Contact the detox center where he was and ask for a program "house" (I'm surprised they did not give him when he was sent home).
The PT and OT, who treated him should be able to provide written literature on the subject, talk to them.

Each person is different - I would really recommend trying to see a physiotherapist.
