Many people who lost their jobs in the recession may find a cure for unemployment in the area of health care.

The need for specialized nurses, therapists and technicians of all kinds has remained strong. Recruiters believe that reform of health care could trigger further growth.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration touts health care as one of the industries that will recover and jobs.

But that does not match the easy opportunity. Many jobs in health care require applicants to return to school, receive some kind of certification and deal with at least a temporary pay cut.

Michelle Vesey away from a $ 65,000-a-year job to return to school full time to become a nurse. The 47-year-old Inkster, Mich., resident took a takeover of Ford Motor Co. in 2007 and lives on a small allowance, until she finishes her degree in 2011.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Information Session

Lynchburg College will act in an information meeting for graduate students interested in waiting for the new physician of Physiotherapy (DPT) program, Tuesday, November 10, from 6:30 to 8 hours in the Alumni Ancestors Loveseat.

The new three-year program will throw in the period of 2010. Program Leader Dr. Kevin Brueilly Knack and others set forth the requirements and discuss curriculum. Information on cash assistance is also available.
