Breathing Problems...Anxiety?...Allergies...please help!?
In the end of May, I started to suffer from severe sinus congestion. During this time period, I had two very severe panic attacks, and went to the ER, I have never had this happen before. I was prescribed Xanax. I then saw an allergist and found out I am allergic to dust mites. He gave me Allegra and Veramyst. I used these prescriptions, and some Afrin and began to feel a little better but, then it got worse. I thought maybe I was using too much Afrin, so I stopped using it completely. I was extremely congested for 2-3 days which I figured was probably some rebound congestion.I went back to my allergist and he gave a Medrol steroid pack to reduce swelling that could be allergies or even the Afrin. I am the 7th day of packing the steroids and there is little improvement. I am still having difficulty breathing much, congestion, anxiety, and now the strange mood swings, and after discharge. This problem is so severe I can barely leave home. Please help!
My allergies used to be soft, and does not affect my daily life. I used to take only anti-histamine and occasionally some nasal spray if they have started to bother me. It was not until recently I had such a problem.Since I am not responding to drugs against allergies and even more the Medrol pack which will clear almost all the allergies ... I'm afraid theres some other problem, and doctors are not very useful ... I still think they 'm just Overreacting, but I can easily run more! Are there other possible causes of these symptoms?
If the drugs do not work for you, then try a Neti pot to clear your sinuses. Many people who use I find a vast improvement in their overall health. Check out more information below and the links provided in the Source box. Good luck.
"In the U.S., sinus problems is the # 1 reason people see a doctor. With increasing pollution and chemicals in our environment, there is a huge increase in the number of people who suffer from various forms of nasal congestion and respiratory illnesses.Practitioners of unconventional medicine around the world recommend the regular practice of nasal cleansing with saline solution as part of a regular pattern of health and wellness, a basic health-maintenance activity equal to flossing your teeth.
My first suggestion would be to break away from all drugs! Holy Moly!
Most people with allgergies take a clariton (the stuff Conter) honestly if the pile of drugs that doctors have given you does not take how about STOP!
