Symptoms of feline leukemia, respiratory infection, or just allergies?

I recently adopted two gorgeous kittens from the local animal shelter. The smaller of the two, a male we named Griffey, has been congested, coughing and sneezing since we brought him home. At first I thought his coughing was attributed to hairballs, but we gave him some hairball treatment with no results. I then got some antibiotics and have been giving him a dose of it twice a day but I still haven't seen much difference. The vet said we should bring him in to be tested for feline leukemia but from what I've been reading he doesn't have the usual symptoms. He is FULL of energy, eats good, and acts fine.The only problem is his little congested nose and sneezing / coughing. Any ideas what this could be? I intend to take him to the vet tomorrow, but I'd like to settle my nerves before that date.

while they are still eating and being playful .. I wouldnt worry ... could be allergies.
it may need a different antibiotic ... the symptoms you describe are symptoms of feline leukemia.
Hopefully the kittys are okay.
