Introducing Lindsay Chiropractor Dr. Stuart Kinsinger

I remember feeling scared stiff on my first visit to a chiropractor. I had hurt my back playing hockey and a friend suggested I consider chiropractic. That experience was so helpful and timely that it literally changed my life.
Like many university students I wasn’t sure what career path to take and was looking for some direction in my life. The wonderful care that my chiropractor gave to me opened the door and inspired me to consider how I could help so many people in such a great way.
I enrolled at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and graduated in 1978. From my first year learning anatomy in the human dissection lab to my final year caring for patients as an intern, I knew that chiropractic was for me, and so began my practice here on Kent Street after graduation.
My highest goal in caring for a patient is firstly to help them when they need help most, and then to help them to help themselves. Being able to offer so much benefit without the use of drugs or surgery is very exciting because we are constantly reminded that our bodies have the ability to be healthy, if given the right opportunity.
When not caring for patients at Kent Street Family Chiropractic, I have a couple of other passions that take most of my time. I am on the faculty of the chiropractic college in Toronto where I teach professionalism and ethics. This sometimes takes me to other provinces and American states to teach other chiropractors and educational professionals about professionalism and ethics, and I have published two textbooks that are used by chiropractic students around the world.
My wife, Laurel, and I married in 1977 and have been blessed with two children and a grandson born in 2006. Music, in a number of different aspects has always been, and continues to be an integral part of my life. I am profoundly grateful for being blessed in these ways.
Because one of my passions is to advocate for a healthy, natural lifestyle, I practice what I preach. I run regularly and participate in the annual Lindsay Milk Run each July. That, working out in the gym and eating more organic foods keeps me in great shape. Oh yes, I am adjusted every two weeks, which is the best and most efficient way to maintain my level of function.
