Acupuncture

Acupuncture is also used by in this office if required or if requested. Acupuncture, simply stated, is a health science which is used to successfully treat both pain and dysfunction in the body.

Acupuncture has it’s roots deeply planted in China. In fact, authorities agrees the science is between 5,000 and 7,000 years old.

At first glimpse, acupuncture appears strange, as it’s primary notoriety is the utilization of needles placed in the skin at various locations to relieve pain or affect a body part. There are many other ways to stimulate an Acupoint other than a needle, just as there are many different strokes used in swimming.

Many practitioners use electric stimulation, laser beam or pressure massage to treat an Acupoint. The principle of acupuncture does not change, only the technique.

Acupuncture’s goal is to restore normalcy to the body’s energy balance by utilizing a combination of acupoints located in the fourteen meridians. Medical research continues in this country and others to attempt to explain in western scientific terms what the ancient Chinese seventy centuries earlier described. Today, many theories have been postulated as to why acupuncture is so effective in pain control. However, as more discoveries have been made, more research is indicated.

The list of conditions that respond to acupuncture is too long to include here. Some of the conditions treated in this clinic include arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, sinus problems, headaches, nerve pain, stomach problems and addictions, just to name a few.

Drs. Croutch and Kinsinger have practiced acupuncture as an adjunct to chiropractic for a combined total of over 38 years. Please inquire for information as to the possibility of acupuncture being a benefit to you!

Dr. Stu Asks some important questions of interest to Lindsay residents - Chiropractor Lindsay Dr. Stu Asks...

What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Lindsay chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
